OUR TESTIMONY
Growing up was quite frustrating and challenging for me. One of the issues I faced was people telling me the person I thought was my father was not. This uncertainty caused significant pressure on me as a child, leading to rebellious, mean, and argumentative behavior. These challenges and a lack of understanding led to further behavior issues as a teenager. Things became so severe that I had to move to Miami with my grandparents to avoid juvenile detention. After confronting this issue and not giving up, I discovered who my biological father was at a later age. While this revelation helped, the lack of someone to talk to about my feelings made me feel isolated, leading me to suppress my issues. However, as I matured, I realized it was time to address these issues. Once I faced them and spoke my truth, I became accessible and able to move forward.
Although I had my struggles, it wasn’t until my wife faced an issue that I had no solution for that I realized the importance of addressing these challenges. I believed I was supporting her as best as I could, but she still felt alone and unable to talk about her struggles, fearing no one would understand. Then, God laid it upon my heart to create a brand representing a movement called Rezil-it-ence. We hope that by becoming aware of your struggles, you will find the strength to talk about them. We believe acknowledging your difficulties is the first step to a life of freedom. We want to encourage you that you are not alone, and together, we can get through the challenges in our lives by standing on Rezil-it-ence.
